Computer programs which play go. Although computer go is an exciting subject in computer science, playing against computer programs is usually not the best way to improve your strength.

Click on the bar (which shows the current "rating" of the link) to rate the concerning link (this currently requires JavaScript to be enabled). The rating is computed from an initial rating and the ratings issued by visitors of the site via a mysterious and secret formula I came up with, and nothing is said as to what it actually represents (since I do not know myself).

	Written by Anders Kierulf. Commercial (there is a free demo version). Windows.
The Many Faces of Go
	Written by David Fotland. "Many Faces" was one of the first go programs. Commercial (but see the free 9x9 version, Igowin). Windows.

	A free 9x9 version of David Fotland's program "The Many Faces of Go". Windows.

	Written by Fredrik Dahl (also known for the very strong Backgammon program JellyFish). Windows, commercial.
Intelligent Go Foundation
	A non-profit organization devoted to the promotion of computer Go. Many resources around the topic of go-playing computer programs.
